Ecology-
Over 100 billion gallons of rain falls each year in El Yunque. The composition of El Yunque rainforest ranges from rainforest to semi-desert conditions within close distances. The lush forest consists of over 240 different species of plants and trees, 26 which are found nowhere else on earth.
Along with the Puerto Rican Parrot, there are 50 other species of birds within the El Yunque Rainforest.

Vega Baja-

History-
The area of modern Vega Baja was once known as Sebuco, with a time line that goes back 2,300 years. Upon the arrival of the Spanish, the town was established with 200 acres of land donated by Don Manuel Negron Bentitez. Around the time of the 19th century, Vega Baja's economy became based on the cultivation of oranges and sugar cane.

Vieques, Puerto Rico-
Vieques was called Bieke, meaning "small land," by the original Taino inhabitants. European settlers gave Vieques the name Crab Island, for the abundance in land crabs. You'll know Vieques as an island of treasures waiting to be discovered.

Archeological studies show that Vieques was inhabited by natives who came from South America over 2000 years ago, 1500 years before Christopher Columbus set foot on Puerto Rico in 1493.
